ABOUT THE CARBON NEUTRALITY CAMPAIGN

Climate Change and Carbon Neutrality Goal

Globally, the goal of carbon neutrality is to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, in order to limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels and avoid the worst impacts of climate change.

In Hong Kong, the government has set a target to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, which includes reducing carbon emissions by 50% by 2030 and reaching net-zero emissions by 2050.

Our campaign aims to contribute to these global and local goals by promoting awareness and action towards carbon neutrality. By providing accessible guidance, we hope to assist individuals and organizations in implementing sustainable practices and reducing their carbon emissions. By fostering a culture of sustainability, we hope to inspire a collective effort towards achieving carbon neutrality in Hong Kong and beyond.
